Fashion Design Students in the Recycled Fashion Show

 
Recycled Fashion Show presented by Downtown Dallas Inc was held at the Pegasus Plaza Stage on Friday, September 20. Junior student Ariel received 2nd Place; Kanupriya Pande, a 2nd year graduate student, won 1st prize in the designer category.

Kanupriya Pande, her garment is inspired by the "sustainable", "eco", "green", and "ethical" Slow Fashion movement. Made out of used cotton “sari” and embellished with traditional “BANDHEEJ” (mechanical resist) technique, garment surface has plant seeds to create texture.
