Project Goodwill Competition

Fashion Design students and enthusiasts of the Fort Worth area were challenged to create a “blue carpet” look at the Project Goodwill Fashion Show on October 24. Yesenia Contreras, a sophomore, and Sam Cogley, a junior in the Fashion Design program, were among the seven designers chosen to participate. The designers were given $100 to spend at local Goodwill stores. Sam’s gown was created using woven VHS tapes, a suitcase, a velvet shirt, a lactation bag, broken glass and ceramic from a vase and a food storage container, and a basketball. The unconventional design placed 2nd in the competition.
