On October 18 at the 2013 International Textile and Apparel AssociationAnnual Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, a UNT faculty and a graduate student received awards for excellence in Design. ITAA is a professional association composed of scholars, educators, and students in the textile, apparel,and merchandising disciplines in higher education. Associate Professor Li-Fen Anny Chang was awarded with the two top faculty design awards at this event and Fashion Design MFA candidate Chanjuan Chen received both of the graduate student level awards in design. UNT was represented at this highly competitive juried design competition by 5 original faculty designs, 6 original graduate students designs, and 3 original alumni designs (one of which also won an award). Other Fashion Designfaculty also participated in several research presentations at this conference. UNT Proud!!!
