Job Description: Seeking a professional, outgoing & personable individual to assist sales reps and showroom staff during market. Interview and training will take place.
Responsibilities: Greeting buyers, assisting reps in selling, showing a collection, modeling showroom samples (size S). Basic computer skills (barcode scanning the line) & entering order information onto a net book computer. Basic knowledge in styling, merchandising & fabric of garments.
An internship position may be offered to a qualified showroom sales assistant after market. The internship hours/compensation will be discussed in the future and hours can be worked around the students schedule.

My favorite blogger, Alix from the Cherry Blossom Girl designed a beautiful lingerie collection with Etam, I think most of you are already everyday on her blog but for the few that don't I really had to share!!
I always think of Alix that she must be the person who turns everything she touches into glittery gold and wherever she walks flowers will blossom and grow, like a stream of flowers following her path and all little fuzzies will follow her, little bunny's, kittens and birds. Shes an extremely talented photographer, stylist and designer, beautiful inside and out.
I already ordered some pieces from her collaboration with Etam, can't wait for them to come in!!

2011 Earthday Dallas Fashion Show
On Friday April 22, three Senior students were recognized at the Earthday Dallas Fashion Show for their recycled designs. Congratulations to Kirsten Shisko for receiving 1st Place, Neil Marek for receiving 2nd Place, and Courtney Powers for receiving 3rd Place!!

The weather just makes me happy.
I bought the Birdy playsuit last week, I forgot the price but it's def below the $30..
Oh, somehow it works miracles on the other sex, really didn't expect that but if you need a new Boyfriend or someone to carry your groceries, free meals, maybe someone to paint your room or just fix your whole house while your at it... buy the playsuit, the Birds attract Men like Cats!! (be careful that they don't put you in a tiny cage)
In between (and casual) I wear the Bird Suit with ballet flats (the nude colored topshop ones) or brogues and with a simple blazer (=perfect) and I think they will go perfectly with the Won Hundred flatforms too, no?

• Participate in fit process and send tech pack evaluations to vendors.
• Assist the designer to facilitate all aspects from concept to design and final development of a specific garment.

TOMS Shoe Project
As a co-sponsor of TOMS shoe project, CVAD and the Fashion Design program supported a competition for design of TOMS shoes. TOMS shoe project created by Marian O'Rourke-Kaplan, each student was given one TOMS classic shoe to redesign as they saw fit. 39 shoe designs from Junior and Sophomore students were juried by the Fashion Design faculty members on April 7. Cash prizes were awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Design winners were invited to attend Private reception for Blake Mycoskie at Golden Eagle Suit of Union on April 13. Congratulations to Junior student Cassie Bumpous for receiving 1st Placc, Junior student Jelyn Hobson for 2nd Place, and Sophomore student Reagan Whitaker for 3rd Place (photo provided by Jelyn Hobson).
Shoes were displayed at Avesta of the union (photo provided by Dean Milnes).
