French men's sportswear brand is looking for a production/design assistant ASAP for their European market. Job is located in the New York Soho office.
Responsibilities:
• Act as a liaison between design, Paris office, and international vendors to manage product life-cycle from start to finish.
• Communicating and negotiating with vendors to ensure the most cost-efficient prices and timely delivery of fabrics, trims, salesman samples, and production orders for all distribution licensees.
• Order placement and Purchase Order follow-up with international vendors and distribution licensees.
• Track deliveries for all design samples, salesman samples, and production orders.
Qualifications:
• College Degree in related field.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Knowledge about production basics.
• Fluent in Spanish, Italian, French, or Arabic is a plus.
• Excellent follow up skills and attention to details.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision.
• Must be professional and have strong work ethics and positive attitude.
