Internship Opportunity at Westmoor Mfg. Co./Panhandle Slim

Apparel Design Intern

Westmoor Mfg. Co., makers of Panhandle Slim®, Rock & Roll Cowboy®, Rock & Roll Cowgirl®, and Rough Stock® western wear is now accepting applications for summer interns in our Fort Worth, TX based design department.

As an intern, students will gain valuable knowledge of apparel design and manufacturing processes through actively participating in a variety of tasks.  Areas to include:

·       Fabric development and textile design

·       Embroidery and screenprint design

·       Technical sketching and style sheets

·       Photo-shoots and presentations

·       Office organization and fabric library upkeep

·       Some exposure to pattern-making, quality control and merchandising available                 

Requirements:

·       Must be enrolled in a Fashion Design or Merchandising program and be completing an internship for credit towards graduation

·       Basic knowledge of garment construction

·       Microsoft Office Suite experience: Excel and Outlook

·       Adobe Creative Suite experience: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

·       Additional CAD experience a plus

·       Previous retail or fashion industry experience a plus

·       Hand sketching ability preferred

·       Portfolio preferred

Environment:

·       Fast-paced office

·       Casual dress-code

·       Regular business hours = first shift / day shift
